Maple Grove, MN Sewer Service

At Dean’s Home Services, we provide sewer services designed for Maple Grove homes. Our family-owned company has served Twin Cities homeowners for more than 25 years, handling everything from camera inspections and drain cleanings to trenchless repairs and full line replacements. We understand how the area’s older sewer lines, tall maple trees, and hard Minnesota winters wear on your system, and provide solutions that stand up against them all.

Complete Sewer Services for Maple Grove Homes

Our experts provide a full suite of sewer services for Maple Grove homes, so you only need one call for the entire job. You can count on our team for:

Signs Your Sewer Line Needs Attention

When there’s a problem in your mainline, you’ll often notice problems popping up around your entire house. Keep an eye out for the following warning signs that your sewer line needs attention:

  • Water is backing up in your basement floor drain.
  • Gurgling or slow-flushing toilets.
  • Slow drains throughout the house.
  • Sewer smells in your basement or drains.
  • Unusually green or spongy patches in your lawn.

Common Causes of Sewer Line Problems

Sewer line problems in Maple Grove often stem from:

  • Tree roots are infiltrating underground pipes.
  • Bellies sagging the line.
  • Loose joints and cracked pipes from shifting soil.
  • Grease and wipes are catching onto roots or offset joints.
  • Older clay and cast-iron pipes in pre-1970s homes.

Sewer Camera Inspections for Accurate Diagnosis

A camera sewer inspection provides a complete evaluation of your sewer lines, so you can know what’s actually wrong before committing to a repair. Our technicians insert a waterproof camera through your cleanout, inspect the inside of your pipe, and locate the exact location of the problem. Once we diagnose the root cause, we’ll provide a full report, walk you through your options, and help you decide if main sewer line repair or replacement makes more sense.

Sewer Cleaning for Stubborn Blockages

When grease, wipes, and roots build up in your sewer lines, we have the tools to clear them for good. We offer rooter and hydro jetting cleaning methods that blast away blockages and return proper flow to your lines. Rooter service uses a motorized cable with a cutting head to bore through clogs and shear off roots, while hydro jetting blasts high-pressure water to clean pipe walls and strip buildup from your system.

Sewer Line Repair Solutions

Our licensed plumbers provide traditional and trenchless sewer repairs in Maple Grove to fix joints, cracks, root damage, and breaks. Trenchless is the leading choice for local homes, offering a non-invasive alternative to traditional trenching. Using just one or two access points, our team can replace the pipe without tearing up your yard or landscaping.

Depending on the issue, trenchless replacement isn’t always possible. If you’re dealing with a severe belly, too many bends, or collapsed soil around the pipe, we can perform conventional excavation to replace the run and restore proper flow.

When Sewer Line Replacement Is the Right Choice

If repair bills are starting to pile up and the damage runs the length of the line, sometimes replacement makes the most sense. We recommend main sewer line replacement in Maple Grove when:

  • A line has completely caved in.
  • There are bellies across multiple sections.
  • Your line is made of deteriorating clay or cast iron.
  • There’s damage at multiple points.

Tree Root Intrusion and Sewer Line Damage

Tree root intrusion is one of the most common causes of sewer line damage across Maple Grove. The area’s 1980s and 1990s neighborhoods now have mature trees lining the boulevards, with root systems that have finally reached your water line.

When tree roots infiltrate your pipes, you’ll often begin to notice slow drainage throughout your home, clogs that keep coming back, and gurgling sounds from your drains. Our team clears roots completely using rooter equipment and hydro jetting, so you can get back to normal flow.

How Minnesota Weather Affects Sewer Systems

Minnesota’s freeze-thaw cycles, spring snowmelt, and dry summers put added strain on your sewer line. When the spring thaw releases the frozen ground and snowmelt absorbs into the soil, groundwater can seep in through cracked pipes and overwhelm your system.

As temperatures heat up in the summer, the dry topsoil can pull roots toward your line and into any gap they find. With heavy summer storms then surging the system with water, your sewer system can back up and cause flooding in your basement floor drain.

Benefits of Routine Sewer Maintenance

Routine sewer maintenance catches problems before they turn into major broken sewer line repairs. A camera inspection every one to two years and preventative sewer cleanings can help prevent blockages, clear roots early, and have us wash away buildup, so you’re not dealing with early morning failures or late-night emergency service calls.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I have my sewer line inspected?

Most Maple Grove homes require an inspection every three to five years. If you have mature trees nearby or your home was built before 1970, more frequent inspections can help catch problems early.

Do you offer emergency sewer service?

Yes, we offer same-day sewer services for active backups. If you spot sewage coming from your floor drains, call our team as soon as possible to have a sewer contractor in Maple Grove dispatched to your home.

How much does sewer line replacement cost?

The cost of sewer line replacement depends on the length of the run, the depth of the line, and the method of residential sewer repair. We always scope the line first and provide an upfront estimate before any work begins.

Customer Satisfaction is our #1 Priority What Dean’s Customers are saying
I recently bought a new house and quite a few things needed upgrading / replacing. Deans has done fantastic work on all these things. Scheduling is fast and easy. They are able to come out quickly to assess it and give an estimate. And they can quickly schedule the service. All the technicians have been fantastic. Friendly, and quick and efficient. I am so glad I am a member and I will recommend Deans to anyone. Mark B.
Matthew came for a general plumbing inspection. He was friendly and polite and even a little bit early for his appointment. That is a wonderful thing. He checked all the toilets and sinks, the water heater and water softener. All the while explaining what he was doing. He had some ideas on a few repairs but wasn't an alarmist about it. Things that just had to be done, sooner than later, but not immediately. The Dean's club membership is definitely worth it. Susan M.
Eric B was awesome and informative. Today he came and gave us a rundown of our new homes air ventilation and Furnace/AC systems so we are all ready for winter and beyond. We had Dean's install a new furnace, ac and water heater at our previous home and they did such a wonderful job and so easy to work with we will only use them from now on. Thanks again for a wonderful experience. Jayme K.
I had Dean's come out a couple times for different services. Once to install venting for a bath fan and once for service for my furnace. There were no surprises in pricing and service was quick. Sam was the tech both times and he did a great job for both jobs. For the furnace, he diagnosed the issue within minutes of starting the work and got it up and running quickly. They had all the parts in the truck already. As far as the appointment, I requested service online, had a call back within 15 min and the tech was in my driveway an hour later. I would highly recommend Dean's. Dan P.
Of the several electricians I contacted, Dean's offered by far the quickest dispatch time, which is great because my thermostat broke and wouldn't start my A/C at all. Given that temperatures are supposed to reach 98 degrees tomorrow, time was of the essence. Thankfully, Dean's had someone out within an hour. I worked with Seth, who was professional, helpful and knowledgeable. He ran a 'C' wire to our new smart thermostat and got it installed in about an hour at a reasonable price. I will definitely recommend Dean's to anyone who needs an electrician. Michael Y.
