Sewer Line Repair Service in Minneapolis & St. Paul

Minneapolis St Paul Twin Cities cityscape with a clear blue sky behind a bridge with people walking

Your home’s sewer main line is not something on the minds of most homeowners until there’s a problem. When there’s a sewer pipe leak, backup, or clog, your sewer line becomes a problem that’s hard to ignore. Repairing a leaking sewer pipe usually needs to be addressed immediately to avoid damage and additional, costly repairs.

Our licensed plumbers are experienced with sewer line repair for Minnesota homes and are well-trained to diagnose and repair nearly any type of problem with your sewer main line. We offer a range of sewer and drain repair and inspection services for homeowners in the Minneapolis, St. Paul, and nearby areas of Minnesota:

Common Types of Sewer Line Problems

If you have found yourself facing any of the following problems, then give our professional plumbers a call right away. The faster you give our sewer repair experts a call, the faster we can get your sewer system up and running again and help you avoid costly repairs later on.

  • Sewer Line Belly: A belly in your sewer line is a low, sagging area of the line that traps wastewater and causes clogs.
  • Sewer Line Collapse: A sewer line collapse is exactly what it sounds like; when the line collapses into itself.
  • Foreign Object Clog: When foreign objects become lodged in your sewer line, problems like clogs and sewer line breakages can occur.
  • Misalignment: Sewer line misalignment is when your sewer line becomes dislodged at a joint, causing leakage.
  • Tree Root Infiltration: Tree roots are one of the most common causes for sewer line issues since the roots are attracted to the water in your sewer line. Once tree roots have gained entry, they can cause serious sewer damage.
  • Improper Sewer Slope: If the sewer slope, or pitch, isn’t steep enough, the sewage slows down, which can result in a clogged sewer line. If the slope is too steep, water and solids can separate, which causes solids to accumulate and clog the pipe.

If your sewer backs up, you could end up with floods, sewage or wastewater in your home, or worse. Therefore, if you are suffering from any of these issues, give our plumbers a call as soon as possible.

What To Expect From a Sewer Line Repair

While the specific process to repair your home’s sewer main line can vary depending on the specifics of the problem, there are some general guidelines as to what you can expect.

Inspection & Diagnosis: One of our professional plumbers or sewer experts will typically inspect the problem, sometimes conducting a sewer line video inspection using a specialized camera. This will help us identify the cause of the problem and the precise location of the issue.

Repair Options: After the problem has been diagnosed, we can then discuss the various repair options that can be used. In cases where different repair methods can be used, we will guide you through the benefits and limitations of each, helping you choose what will work best for you.

Repair Process: The process of the repair itself will vary, depending on the method of repair that is chosen. Trenchless sewer repairs, for example, generally take less time and cause less overall disruption to your property compared to traditional methods. Regardless of the method chosen, however, our plumbers will ensure that the repair is performed with precision and the utmost care. Once repairs are complete, the sewer line will be tested to ensure everything is in proper working order.

While the process and what to expect can vary depending on the type of repairs needed, we will walk you through every step along the way. You can rest easy knowing our sewer replacement experts have the experience and skill to get the job done right the first time.

Customer Satisfaction is our #1 Priority What Dean’s Customers are saying
I recently bought a new house and quite a few things needed upgrading / replacing. Deans has done fantastic work on all these things. Scheduling is fast and easy. They are able to come out quickly to assess it and give an estimate. And they can quickly schedule the service. All the technicians have been fantastic. Friendly, and quick and efficient. I am so glad I am a member and I will recommend Deans to anyone. Mark B.
Matthew came for a general plumbing inspection. He was friendly and polite and even a little bit early for his appointment. That is a wonderful thing. He checked all the toilets and sinks, the water heater and water softener. All the while explaining what he was doing. He had some ideas on a few repairs but wasn't an alarmist about it. Things that just had to be done, sooner than later, but not immediately. The Dean's club membership is definitely worth it. Susan M.
Eric B was awesome and informative. Today he came and gave us a rundown of our new homes air ventilation and Furnace/AC systems so we are all ready for winter and beyond. We had Dean's install a new furnace, ac and water heater at our previous home and they did such a wonderful job and so easy to work with we will only use them from now on. Thanks again for a wonderful experience. Jayme K.
I had Dean's come out a couple times for different services. Once to install venting for a bath fan and once for service for my furnace. There were no surprises in pricing and service was quick. Sam was the tech both times and he did a great job for both jobs. For the furnace, he diagnosed the issue within minutes of starting the work and got it up and running quickly. They had all the parts in the truck already. As far as the appointment, I requested service online, had a call back within 15 min and the tech was in my driveway an hour later. I would highly recommend Dean's. Dan P.
Of the several electricians I contacted, Dean's offered by far the quickest dispatch time, which is great because my thermostat broke and wouldn't start my A/C at all. Given that temperatures are supposed to reach 98 degrees tomorrow, time was of the essence. Thankfully, Dean's had someone out within an hour. I worked with Seth, who was professional, helpful and knowledgeable. He ran a 'C' wire to our new smart thermostat and got it installed in about an hour at a reasonable price. I will definitely recommend Dean's to anyone who needs an electrician. Michael Y.
