Q: Why should I be worried about my air indoors, I thought pollution was outside.
The efficient, airtight homes we live in today are excellent at conserving energy, but that also makes them better at trapping potentially irritating particles inside your home. If you suffer from allergies and/or asthma, indoor air quality has become more important to our general health and well-being.

Q: If I keep my home clean, how could the air in my home still not be clean?
The average home makes 40 pounds of dust for every 1500 square feet of space.  Even the best home cleaning measures cannot remove enough of the material to make your home as comfortable as it could be with an indoor air purification and filter system.

Q: Is a large air-conditioner better than a smaller unit?
Not necessarily.  A larger air conditioner will always use more electricity as well as cost more to install and upkeep.  The consideration should be finding the proper size air-conditioning unit that will provide the efficient energy use and the most comfort.
Call Dean’s, we can help you make that determination.

Q: Does Deans Professional Plumbing carry anything to help control the humidity in my house?
Yes, humidity can be a problem in any home.  The best way to control excessive humidity is to have a system installed that runs to control the humidity with your home.  We carry humidification and dehumidification systems to keep the indoor air at a comfortable level.

Q:  What is a HEPA Filter?
HEPA stands for High-Efficiency Particle Air.  As defined by the DOE standard, HEPA filters can remove at least 99.97% of airborne particles.  Be aware that all HEPA filters are not equal and check carefully to make sure that the filter is DOE standard.
